Hey, my name is Yolandi! Pleased to meet you!
I am a New Zealand based gal who lives in the Wellington region and loves a good cuppa coffee and has a slight unhealthy plant obsession. I love sunshine, all things aesthetically pleasing and muted colour palettes.
When I finished high school I did a make up and hair course and then proceeded to do a 3 year fashion Design course in the Winelands of Stellenbosch in South Africa.
By day I am a graphic designer who makes business cards and flyers for a bunch of local businesses at a little nook called Advocate Print and by night all my creative dreams come to life in the form of beautiful polymer clay earrings that I also love to wear myself.
Please stay a while and be sure to check out my link below with all the earrings that are my current faves!
These earrings are made using the best products with the highest quality to ensure longevity. They are made right here in New Zealand in our little studio so you can rest assured they are being hand made with great care. From mixing the colours to get that perfect hue, to moulding the clay into shapes and sanding each piece individually. Know that each piece on this site is uniquely made with love and care.
We scouted high and low to bring you the best findings. Words like hypo-allergenic, titanium, stainless steel, 24k gold plated are words that describe our findings and we will continue to bring you the best findings the market has to offer. Some of the charms are however sometimes made of brass but if you take good care of your earrings and follow the care instructions, these will last a very long time. And a bit of Brasso carefully applied should give them new life.
Each person knows their own body best and while I don’t always know what your ears are sensitive to, be sure to check out the descriptions before you check out to ensure you buy the right finding your ears can handle. Resin and stainless steel, though they are high quality, has in the past caused some irritation.
We try to keep waste to a minimum. When working with clay, we do tend to accumulate a lot of scrap clay leftovers. We use dye to make those scraps black and then we reuse them to make more gorgeous earrings.
We also strive to keep the environment in mind when we create our packaging. We do not wrap our earrings in plastic packaging and everything is recyclable/compostable that accompany our earrings. Please be sure to reuse, reduce and recycle everything to ensure you do your bit too to save our beautiful planet!
